What professional licenses do you hold?
Dr. Brisson is a board certified orthopedic surgeon and is licensed by the States of New York and New Jersey. He is also a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a diplomat of the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. He is recognized as a Certified Orthopedic Surgeon by the New York State Workers’ Compensation Board.
Where is your office located?
Our office is located in Manhattan at 51 East 25th Street, 6th floor, between Madison and Park Avenues.
what kinds of insurance do you take?
We accept Medicare, no-fault insurance, and Workers’ Compensation. We also accept all insurers with out-of-network benefits, and we work hard to accommodate individual policies and constraints. Please contact us for more information.
where do you perform surgery?
Dr. Brisson performs surgery at New York Downtown Hospital.
What are your office hours?
Dr. Brisson sees patients on Mondays and Wednesdays between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
Should I bring any prior X-rays or scans to my first appointment?
Yes, please bring all MRI films, CT scans, X-rays, and reports from other physicians. Dr. Brisson will also want to learn about any kind of physical therapy, conventional treatments, or surgeries you’ve already received.
Is there anything else I should bring?
Please bring a list of ALL medications you currently take. If you need any new prescriptions, we need to understand how these new medications will interact with the drugs you are already taking.

Is Dr. Brisson available if I have any questions or medical emergencies?
Dr. Brisson is very accessible. He communicates daily with his two physician assistants, who are available Monday through Friday, between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to answer questions. He also maintains an answering service that is available after hours and on weekends, and will get in touch with you as promptly as he can in case of a medical emergency.

Dr. Brisson and his staff are fluent in French, Spanish and Polish.
